Experiments (asymmetric player boards)
Each player plays one experiment board that gives asymmetric starting tiles and abilities. Base game has A–D; Court of Progress adds E and F.
An experiment is a small asymmetric module — a set of technology tiles and unique action tiles — that gives each player a distinct starting engine. The base game includes experiments A, B, C and D. Court of Progress adds E (Councillor) and F (Engineer). The Patrons Set attaches a one-time Patron ability to each experiment.

- Ignoring your experiment's strengths and playing a generic strategy.
